The\u00a0Victron Orion-Tr Smart 48\/12-30A (360W) DC-DC battery charger<\/strong>\u00a0is specially developed for use in systems with an ECO (smart) alternator (Euro 5 \/ Euro 6).<\/p>\n

This professional three-stage DC to DC battery charger ensures that an auxiliary battery in vehicles or boats can be optimally charged, even with fluctuating alternator voltage. The Orion-Tr Smart can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and remotely controlled using an external on\/off switch. Furthermore, the device features a motorrun detection mechanism.<\/p>\n

Every smartphone, tablet or other device, equipped with Bluetooth, can be used to check and change settings, and to update the battery charger when new software features become available.<\/p>\n

Adaptive 3-phase charging algorithm<\/strong>\u00a0bulk \u2013 absorption \u2013 float<\/p>\n

For lead-acid batteries, it is important to keep the absorption time short during shallow discharges to prevent overcharging of the battery. After a deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically increased to ensure that the battery is fully recharged. For lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed, with a default of 2 hours. Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be selected.<\/p>\n

Remote on\/off function<\/strong><\/p>\n

A remotely operated on\/off switch or relay contact can be connected to a two-pin connector. Alternatively, the H terminal (right) of the two-pin connector can be switched to battery positive, or the L terminal (left) of the two-pin connector can be switched to battery negative (or to the chassis of a vehicle, for example).<\/p>\n

Parallel circuit<\/strong><\/p>\n
