"Since 2024, we have had two Lightleaf solar panels (SeaLeafs) on our Amazon, a 2010 Bavaria 35 Cruiser, and we are extremely happy with this upgrade. Installation was surprisingly easy. Once the cabling and MPPT were ready, we only needed 30 minutes per panel to install them.
What makes these panels really special is the combination of power and light weight. Compared to our old panels, they deliver a whopping 80% more power, while weighing 33% less. You notice that difference immediately on board. Despite their lightweight construction, they are enormously robust. After more than 1000 nautical miles, they still look like new and stay firmly in place even in strong winds.
We are also hugely excited in terms of design. The curved shape and sleek carbon finish give our boat a much more modern look.
