Water Cards Deal, for subscribers of the Water Charts App *
This AIS + GPS receiver allows you to receive real-time AIS and GPS on the Watercharts app. The solution for the lack of a GPS module on your iPad (WiFi) or improved GPS reception without delay.
Simple to use and powered via USB, it is a very economical AIS + GPS Receiver and NMEA multiplexer in one.
The A026 AIS + GPS via WiFi (no internet required), so you can view wirelessly anywhere on the boat on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. For AIS reception, the A026 needs to be connected to your own VHF antenna or via a splitter to your current VHF antenna.
The advantage of the integrated GPS is that you can not only see where the other ships are, but also your own position vs. other ships. An additional advantage when using a tablet is the extended battery life if you select this GPS instead of the internal one. You still need to connect a GPS antenna such as the Quark-Elec AS04.
