ARCO Zeus A4000 24V LTO High Output Dynamo
The ARCO Zeus A4000 24V LTO is a powerful 24V high-output alternator, specially developed for on-board systems where a high charging output at low engine speeds is important. Thanks to the Low Turn-On design does the alternator start delivering power even at low revs and are large lithium and lead-acid battery banks charged efficiently even while idling and cruising quietly.
The A4000 uses a genuine 24V rotor and field control. As a result, the alternator operates more efficiently and stays cooler than many 24V alternators that internally use a 12V rotor design.
With a maximum output of 144A at 27.5V, good for nearly 4,000 watts, the A4000 delivers a very high charging capacity. More importantly is the output at low revs. At 3,000 alternator rpm, the A4000 still delivers under warm conditions 108A at 27.5V, or rather almost 3,000 watt continuous.
With a usual pulley ratio of approximately 1:2, 3,000 alternator rpm corresponds to approximately 1,500 motor rpm. Even around idling speed, the A4000 can therefore generate a very substantial amount of energy. The exact yield depends on the pulley ratio and the engine speed.
The A4000 is designed for long-term heavy workloads. The combination of dual internal fans, an externally mounted rectifier and a heat-dissipating coating ensures optimal cooling and high continuous performance.
For safely and correctly regulating the charging current, a external dynamo controller necessary, such as the ARCO Zeus or Zeus Omega Controller. This allows the charging process to be precisely tailored to lithium and other battery types, and enables monitoring of voltage, charging current and temperature, among other things.
