ARCO Zeus A225S High Output Dynamo
The ARCO Zeus A225S is a powerful and compact 12V high-output alternator, developed for onboard systems with a high energy demand. Thanks to its high charging capacity, even at low revs, you can charge large lithium and lead-acid battery banks considerably faster and limit the number of engine running hours required.
The A225S is designed to deliver high charging currents for extended periods. The combination of dual internal fans, an externally positioned rectifier and a heat-dissipating coating ensures excellent cooling and high continuous performance.
With a maximum output of 254A and a continue charging current to 187A is the A225S an interesting alternative to a separate onboard generator.
Even at lower engine speeds, the charging output remains high. At 3,000 alternator rpm, the warm A225S still delivers approximately 157A. With a standard pulley ratio of approximately 1:2, this corresponds to roughly 1,500 rpm engine speed. The exact ratio may vary depending on the motor and pulley configuration.
For safely and correctly regulating the charging current, a external dynamo controller necessary, such as the ARCO Zeus of Omega Bluetooth Controller. This allows the charging process to be precisely tailored to lithium and other battery types, and monitors voltage, current and temperature, among other things.
