The SailProof SP10S is a rugged 10-inch Android tablet designed specifically for on-board use. The screen has a high brightness of 1000 nits and remains excellently readable in direct sunlight, even in the cockpit or at the helm.
Unlike standard consumer tablets, the SP10S hardly suffers from overheating during prolonged use with high screen brightness. Designed for marine use, the touchscreen is operable with wet fingers and with gloves. In addition, the screen remains clearly visible with polarised sunglasses, something many regular tablets have problems with.
The tablet is IP67 waterproof, vibration-resistant and suitable for use with navigation apps such as the Waterkaarten app. The internal battery is intended for long-term use, in practice the tablet is often connected to on-board power for continuous use.
This deal comes with a Railblaza bracket for the tablet. This is just the bracket, without a Railblaza base or StarPort base, so you can combine it with an existing Railblaza on-board mount.
