This super high-output alternator is all you need to go 'off grid' and provides all your power needs on your boat. The big advantage is that the GenMaax already gives 70% charging power around idle speed.
The frame is hard black anodised with a special saltwater-resistant coating that improves heat dissipation, which is crucial for any alternator over 160 amps. A simple, bolt-on replacement, the GenMAAX series gives you all the output of a large alternator in a small housing that fits on 99% marine engines.
The 250a and the 24v 165a come standard with a Remote Rectifier for lower alternator operating temperature.
