The Icom IC-M423GE VHF radio ATIS / DSC / GPS is a very nice VHF radio with crystal-clear sound and large backlit display on which the required information can be read clearly and distinctly.
Features Icom's standard used marine product controls, intended for simple, intuitive use. The tuning dial and arrow keys provide quick, easy access to desired functions. The high-contrast, white-lit display and laser-cut keys fit perfectly with modern ships.
The built-in, active noise cancellation ensures excellent performance. It reduces background noise to 90% in receive and 30% in transmit. The IC-M423GE features a built-in 10 W amplifier for driving an external PA speaker. The Public Address function allows communication via microphone with people on deck. The PA Speaker can also be used as a fog horn.
The built-in DSC function listens to channel 70 (DSC channel) continuously, even when listening to another channel. The DSC function includes: emergency, group Individual, safety, urgency, test calls and calls for all vessels, position reports and presence. The built-in GPS receiver shows your current position, date/time and can be used to make DCS calls.
Optional COMMANDMIC™ HM-195GB with white illumination
The optional COMMANDMIC with white illumination offers the possibility of operating the IC-M423GE from another location, e.g. the bridge. All functions of the IC-M423GE can be operated with the COMMANDMIC. The COMMANDMIC can also be used as an intercom with the IC-M423GE.
