The Victron Orion-Tr Smart 48/12-30A (360W) DC-DC battery charger is specially developed for use in systems with an ECO (smart) alternator (Euro 5 / Euro 6).
This professional three-stage DC to DC battery charger ensures that an auxiliary battery in vehicles or boats can be optimally charged, even with fluctuating alternator voltage. The Orion-Tr Smart can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth and remotely controlled using an external on/off switch. Furthermore, the device features a motorrun detection mechanism.
Bluetooth Smart enabled
Every smartphone, tablet or other device, equipped with Bluetooth, can be used to check and change settings, and to update the battery charger when new software features become available.

Adaptive 3-phase charging algorithm bulk – absorption – float
For lead-acid batteries, it is important to keep the absorption time short during shallow discharges to prevent overcharging of the battery. After a deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically increased to ensure that the battery is fully recharged. For lithium batteries, the absorption time is fixed, with a default of 2 hours. Alternatively, a fixed output voltage can be selected.
Remote on/off function
A remotely operated on/off switch or relay contact can be connected to a two-pin connector. Alternatively, the H terminal (right) of the two-pin connector can be switched to battery positive, or the L terminal (left) of the two-pin connector can be switched to battery negative (or to the chassis of a vehicle, for example).
Parallel circuit
All models are short-circuit proof and can be paralleled to increase the output current. An unlimited number of units can be connected in parallel.
