The SailProof SP10S is a powerful 10-inch tablet specially developed for use on the water. Robust, waterproof and perfectly readable in sunlight. This is not a standard consumer tablet, but a true maritime navigation tablet for on board.
With a clear 10-inch screen of 1000 nits The SP10S is excellent in direct sunlight. Ideal for use in the cockpit, on deck or at the helm. The screen features Gorilla Glass, an anti-glare and anti-fingerprint coating, and remains clearly visible with polarised sunglasses. Thanks to wet and glove touch, the touchscreen can also be operated with wet fingers or gloves.
The tablet runs on Android and offers complete freedom in choosing navigation apps. This means you can easily use apps such as Waterkaarten, Navionics, Aqua Map, OpenCPN or other route, weather and anchorage apps. The SP10S comes with a modern version of Android and is eligible for an upgrade to Android 16 in 2026. This ensures the tablet remains future-proof in terms of software.
Under the bonnet is a powerful MTK octa-core 64-bit processor, combined with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. This ensures the tablet runs smoothly and provides ample space for maps, offline data, and navigation apps. Furthermore, the storage can be expanded up to 256 GB via the microSD slot.
For positioning, the SP10S has an accurate multi-GNSS receiver with support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS. This makes the position available quickly and stably, even without an internet connection. The tablet also features WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and 2G, 3G and 4G mobile connectivity via a SIM card.
If you also want to make existing boat data visible on the tablet, you can combine the SP10S with a Quark-Elec WiFi multiplexer. This allows you to wirelessly send data such as AIS, wind, depth, GPS, speed, and other NMEA data to your navigation app. This way, the SailProof tablet becomes a complete and flexible navigation screen on board.
The interchangeable 9800 mAh battery ensures a long operating time on board. It's convenient that the battery is replaceable, so you can potentially work with an extra battery during longer trips. The SP10S also has USB C, USB A, POGO pin connection, DC connection, SIM card slot, and MicroSD slot.
The housing is IP67 waterproof Certified to MIL STD 810G. It's therefore no problem in the rain, from a hose, a wet cockpit or rougher use on board. With a weight of approximately 1250 grams and dimensions of 272 x 180 x 21 mm, the SP10S is large enough for comfortable navigation, but still practical for mobile use.
