The Standard Horizon GX1400GPS/E is the successor to the well-known GX1100E, GX1200E and GX1300E models.
This new model marine radio with DSC has a built-in GPS so installation is easy. Indeed, there is no need to connect an external GPS (provided there is sufficient range). The special noise-cancelling mic ensures clear sound.
Easy DSC installation. The GX1400E makes DSC easy. With an internal 66-channel GPS built into the front panel, there is no need to connect the radio to a GPS for DSC. Out of the box and ready to use, DSC calls, position sharing, waypoint navigation, navigation to DSC emergency calls can all be performed with just a few simple steps.
ITU-R M493-13 Class D Digital Selective Calling. The GX1400 Eclipse series is an ITU-R M493-13 Class D VHF with a separate Channel 70 receiver, which allows DSC calls to be received even when listening to communications .
Upon activation, the DSC DISTRESS function sends a digital MAYDAY including vessel identification, longitude, latitude and time to facilitate a quick response. Additional calls that can be made are Individual, Urgency, Safety, Position Report and Send.
Now with a new, brighter backlight for better display contrast.
