The B954 is a high transmit power (5W SOTDMA) Class B AIS transponder that is small and light, yet delivers very good AIS reception and transmission performance. You can see other ships appearing on your screen from afar due to the high power. And always a free channel for maximum visibility.
The AIS receiver has an internal GPS receiver and can be installed inside most polyester ships. For installation in steel vessels, for example, the AIS transponder offers the option of connecting an external GPS antenna. No more GPS problems on an Apple device.
The Em-Trak B954 combines bluetooth and WiFi for seamless wireless connectivity and AIS data streaming to mobile devices or PCs and works perfectly with well-known apps such as Navionics, Waterkaarten App, WinGPS, OpenCPN, NVCharts, etc.
