EmTrak B953 5w AIS Transponder + Splitter and the Quark-Elec A32 WiFi NMEA2000 converter.
This is the better alternative to the EmTrak B954. This set may lack the Bluetooth option, but it does have an NMEA0183/2000 converter and transmits via WiFi not only your AIS data but all data available on your onboard network. So more options than the B954 and a lot cheaper too!
The B953 is a high transmit power (5W SOTDMA) Class B AIS transponder that is small and light, yet delivers very good AIS reception and transmission performance. You can see other ships appearing on your screen from afar due to the high power. And always a free channel for maximum visibility.
Comes in a complete set with the Quark-Elec A032 multiplexer allowing not only AIS and GPS data but all data on your NMEA network via WiFi to be sent easily to all your screens such as a tablet, smartphone or laptop. In combination with the Water Charts App, this works perfectly.
But not only that, the A032 is also an NMEA0183/NMEA2000 converter. Which makes it simple to let your 'outdated' equipment communicate with modern NMEA2000. Connecting is simple and just a one-time setup on the Waterkaarten.app.
